During 2012 / 2013 Mr. Vioreanu spent one year sub-specialzing in Primary, Complex and Revision Hip and Knee Replacement in Vancouver Arthroplasty Unit, University of British Columbia in Canada. This is a high-volume, world-renowned Arthroplasty Centre with four surgeons (Prof. Clive Duncan, Prof. Bas Masri, Prof. Don Garbuz and Dr. Nelson Greidanus) performing over 2000 arthroplasty cases per year. During the year in Vancouver Mr. Vioreanu performed over 400 arthroplasty cases, the large majority (80%) as a primary operator. About 20-30% of these cases were revision and complex arthroplasty cases.
The experience gained in Vancouver, Canada along with the excellent training obtained in Ireland and Australia provides Mr. Vioreanu with the insight, knowledge and surgical techniques required in dealing with complex cases of failed hip or knee replacements.
